pawsible-admin thank you, i would like n puppy that i can train to protect my wife, most of those breeders are a bit expensive with there pups, as i do not have that kind of money for a pup.

Yep these are expensive dogs.

If you can't afford them, maybe adopt a puppy that looks like it will grow quite big. You can usually tell by the size of the paws but it's best to ask a vet.

As long as the puppy is trained and loved by your wife, it will quite naturally be protective over her.

pawsible-admin the only dogs that i have seen that is up for adoption is already big dogs 3 plus years. I have been growing up with GSD and my wife with Bouvier. I had a puppy once that unfortunately died due to an accident. And what i have seen they are very eager to learn and have very good protection instincts.

Maybe you can ask about the history of the older dogs? If they've been around other pets and been trained, they could still be a good fit for you and your family?

pawsible-admin older dogs are difficult to train i need to teach a pup from young not to be afraid of a tazer sound and gun shot sounds as i am in vip protection. And most rescues don't have any history and i ma not taking a chance with my monkeys, they need to raise the pup as well

I fully understand. We have a rescue who is petrified of everything. She's gorgeous though but she'd make a pretty useless aide to you

Also the monkey thing, I understand. We used to have rats and it's difficult to get them again now that we have adopted more cats that aren't used to the rats from baby.
